Q: track my lost iphone

my iphone has been stolen last night, the phone has been turned off right after stolen, that is why i can not track my iphone, cause it shows offline, i am worried that the phone might has been erase and unlocked by the thief or taken to the professionals to make it ready to sell out, so in this case, what can i do to find my iphone6s? i heard someone say the iphone6s has kind of GPS module inside,it works even when the phone is offline, is it true? if yes, how it works?Thx for the help,guys.

 

P.S: my iphone is 6S,64GB, US model. my email is *********

The only mechanism for remote tracking is iCloud.  There is no other method of remote tracking an iPhone.  If you had find my iPhone enabled, the device cannot be activated and used by anyone without your iCloud password.  If you had a screen lock passcode on it, then they cannot get into it to access data.  Even if they erase it in iTunes, as long as you leave it in your iCloud list of tracked devices, no buy you can activate and use that device.

    The iPhone has to be on to send any signal of it's location. In iCloud.com, you can choose to be notified when the device is turned back on through email.

    thx for your swift reply to my post, yes, i did it in icloud.com already, but in addition to this, is there any other solutions? like, permanently track or make it unuseful in case of someone unlocked my stolen iphone and sell to others, cause every IMED is unique, can I track this iphone through IMED even if my iphone has been unlocked by the  thief?
