QUICK TIME 10.4 HELP - NEED TO SLOW AUDIO SPEED

HELP!

I am transcribing 2 QT clipS for a friend for a documentary. I need to slow down the audio speed - and still have the Time Codes on the clip - HOW??? I've researched how to do it and nothing I'm told to do works! I have a Macbook Air and QT 10.4. and there is no "show A/F control" choice under the "Window" tab on my version of QT [not Pro!] I have held down the fast forward key and right clicked, and it does show the faster speeds! I need SLOWER SPEEDS!!! I really need your help! Thanks
