Q: Podcast feed limited for one podcast only

I subscribe to four

 

JOe Rogan Experience

GIlbert Gottfried Amazing Colossal

Kevin Pollak's Chat

 

and

 

Mohr Stories with Jay Mohr

 

In each of the first 3 listed when i click on "feed" i can see all podcasts, but with Mohr I only see 8

 

In tools I have the following for ALL podcasts

 

new to old

new to old

subscribed on

notifications on

refresh every 6 hours

limit episodes  10 most recent

download only new

delete played ON

 

I thought "limit episodes" to 10 most recent would be it but when I change that it doesnt make a difference and I have all of them on that setting so that cant be it'

 

What gives?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.3.1

Some podcasts are available from the producer's websites. Try that.

    "Feed" lists what episodes are available for download from iTunes Store. If there are more than 10 episodes available, the "Limit... to 10" setting will rule.

     

    Many pod asters limit the number of episodes available for download. The one you cited, only displays 8 episodes as currently available in the Store.

    I am seeing now this is similar to Marc Maron in that to get them all you have to pay.

     

    Which is fine but there are so many different providers that you could end up paying multiple monthly fees to get the ones you want.

    That's true only if you want access to older episodes. Otherwise, as new episodes are released, they can be downloaded. If the broadcaster keeps only a limited quantity on iTunes, older episodes drop out as newer become available.

     

    There's also no limit to how many episodes you Save once downloaded.

    Thanks, yes I would like access to all older episodes, so to do that in this case I have to pay.
