Q: DVD Player App Trouble/Apple USB Superdrive
Hi I have a MacBook Pro 13.3 Mid 2012,
The problem I'm having is with the Apple USB SuperDrive, its not working. I tried resetting the NVRAM, PRAM and SMC settings and Nothing changed or worked. I keep getting this message when I plug the device in:
See my family has a few Personal VHS tapes, of some family stuff, so I got a DVC or Digital Video Converter (see Picture):
I was hoping in conjunction of the DVC to use the SuperDrive for burning DVD's, So I could save my families cherished memories, if that makes sense. I do also have this drive Samsung Drive:
SE-506AB/TSWD - Samsung SE-506AB External Blu-ray Writer - BD-R/RE Support - 6x Read/6x Write/2x Rewrite BD - 8x Read/8x Write/8x Rewrite dvd - Dual-Layer M.
The Only issue is well it says it can't read DVD's, it reads Blu-ray and CD fine. I feel like Im stuck between a Rock and a Hard place. Anyone have a Solution to my issue? Is this more so a Hardware or Software issue? Help please I need a solution fast. Thanks.
