Q: Unable to get Higher than 1600 X 900 Resulation
I have a Mac Mini late 2012. I purchased an Upstar M280A monitor that states with a DVI connection that I am using with the mini display adaptor to Dvi adaptor from Apple, I only get a choice 720, 1080 or 1600 X 900. The monitor is a 4K monitor and capable of displaying a resolution higher Than 1600 X 900. Can someone tell me how too get my Mac to display the higher resolution?
Thanks
John

The problem is that using that connection, your Mac Mini thinks that the monitor is a TV and will only allow you to select 1080p as the highest resolution.
To get around the problem, I'm pretty sure that you will need a Mini DisplayPort to Display Port cable between your Mac Mini and that monitor.
