Watch just stopped working

My watch just stopped working, screen went blank, no charge indication, just a black screen. Is there a factory reset to make with it?

Hi

Try force restarting your watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If that does not help, next try charging your watch for around 2.5 hours, making sure that you follow the charging instructions here:

Check your battery and charge your Apple Watch - Apple Support

After that time, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:

- Try restarting it (by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo).

- Next try force restarting it again.

When a watch is unresponsive in the way that you describe, it cannot be unpaired properly (via the Watch app).

It is instead necessary to carry out troubleshooting steps directly on the watch (see my previous reply).

If the behaviour changes, such that your watch does initially display the Apple logo upon restarting, but the screen then goes black, follow the steps in the following support article to turn off VoiceOver:
