    Hello DanElka12,

I understand that you are having issues with installing Windows 10 on your Mac using Boot Camp. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.

I would start with the suggestion that was presented to you and create a USB installer. You will lose the information on that USB drive so I would make sure to copy it elsewhere on on your Mac or look into purchasing another USB drive. Then follow the steps outlined below to use Disk Utility to create the installer and then you should be good to install Windows on your Mac.

The article below will list this steps that I copied and some additional information that will help you get Windows installed through Boot Camp.

Create an ISO image for Boot Camp from Windows installation media
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203909

    Create your own ISO

Use these steps to make an ISO copy of your Windows DVD:

    1. While your Mac is started from OS X, insert the Windows installation DVD in an external optical USB drive or connect your Windows USB drive to a USB port on your Mac.
    2. After the installation media mounts in the Finder, open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder (choose Go > Utilities).
    3. Select the USB optical drive or Windows flash drive so it's highlighted in the Disk Utility window.
    4. Choose File > New Image, and then select your Windows DVD or flash drive from the submenu.
    5. Choose DVD/CD master from the Image Format menu, then choose none from the Encryption menu.
    6. Give the new file a name, then click Save. If prompted, enter an administrator user name and password. A progress bar appears while the image file is created (it might take some time to create the image file).
    7. After imaging is done, eject your Windows installation disc or flash drive. If you're using an external optical drive, disconnect it from the USB port after the disc ejects.
    8. From the Finder, locate the disk image file you created earlier. Single click on it to select it, then press the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to rename the file. Change the disk image file extension from .cdr to .iso. When prompted, click "Use .iso" to verify this change.
Are you sure you want to change the extension alert

     Take care

    Hey DanElka12,

If you already have Windows installed, then you should be able to do the upgrade right within Windows. All that needs to happen afterwards is make sure that you run the Apple Software Update for Windows to ensure that the updates went through. This should solve avoid trying to make a USB installer for the install. Take a look at the article below for how to upgrade to Windows 10 on your Mac.

Your 2011 iMac does not support USB installation of Windows. You need to use a physical DVD and insert it to enable the second checkbox. The first checkbox is used only to download BC drivers.

Officially, W10 is not supported on your 2011 Mac as documented in Use Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support . However, you can install W7/W8.1 and try to upgrade to W10.

Modifying the Info.plist allows the creation of the USB, but installation is still an issue.
