DropBox showing the wrong computer name

Yes, I did try the Dropbox website and fourms first, not getting any answers.

I linked a Mac Pro. I received an email from DropBox showing the wrong computer name. The DropBox website, Settings > Security, is also showing the wrong computer name.


My user name is AAA, Home Folder is AAA, My mac "short name" is "AAA". DropBox website, Settings > Security says the name is BBB.

I have un-linked this computer several times with DropBox. I have also deleted DropBox several times following their procedures.

When I reinstall DropBox it always shows the incorrect computer name. I have carefully searched my Mac for this incorrect name, it does not exist anywhere.

How can I fix this?
