Q: Signin failure withAppleTV 4th gen

When I updated the password for my AppleID, the next time I started the AppleTV it asked for the updated password and has failed to sign in ever sense. I have turned off two step verification, confirmed I have the correct password and the Apple TV is listed in my account. Before I restore the software which means I have to reload and activate everything, I thought I would ask for other suggestions.

    I assume you've gone into Settings>Accounts and re-entered both Apple ID and password for both iTunes and iCloud. I don't understand what you mean by "Apple TV is listed in my account". You don't mean as a device to receive the authentication code, do you?

    If you do need to start again, you can just do a Reset, which erases all the settings, instead of a Restore, which also downloads the software.
