Migration Assistant is meant for transferring data to a newer Mac. It would be best to re-download the apps you want on the older computer to get the correct version. If any of them are paid apps from third parties, they will have a license or serial number. Download them on the old mac and then enter that for registration. If you have paid apps from the Mac App Store, they will be under your purchased tab on the older Mac.
