Jun 21, 2016 11:25 AM in response to aheaiuegoby BBoiss,Through the years of purchasing smart phones, I have learned my needs for physical storage have grown. My 3GS was a 16GB, 4S was 16GB as well, but then I upgraded to purchasing a 32GB on my 5s, and now a 64GB on my 6s.
In all honesty, I don't need 12 versions of the same intended photo sitting on my iPhone, but I am admittedly lazy about cleaning this up. Apple has made a number of clever options through the years for minimizing your reliance on physical storage though. Music purchased from iTunes can essentially be streamed, as of a few years ago, instead of having to sit on my iPhone. Photos can now be Optimized so I can have access to my entire Photo/Video library instead of micromanaging what stays on my iPhone like I did in the past. I have 18k photos and 877 videos taking up a whopping 6.8 GB versus the actual storage they would take which is 112.1 GB because of Optimized Storage. I can even stream movies and tv shows I have purchased instead of loading them to my iPhone.
For .99¢/month ($12/year), you can have 50GB of iCloud Storage to help minimize your storage requirements on your physical iPhone.
