Q: Unpair/pair on different phone.

Lost my phone.  Got new iphone 6.  Tried unpairing watch to pair with new phone.  Instructions on Apple support.  Settings on iWatch, reset, erase contents. Now there is nothing, nothing on iWatch.  Pressing button does nothing.  Turning digital crown does nothing.  Put it on charger, nothing shows.  I hope I don't have to go the the Genius Bar.  Any help short of that?

It sounds like you are following Switch your Apple Watch to a new iPhone - Apple Support

If you don't have your old iPhone or a backup

You should erase your Apple Watch, then pair it with your new iPhone. If you’re asked to restore from a watch backup, select the most recent backup. You will lose Activity, Workouts, or settings on your watch that changed between the last backup and now.

Without an iPhone backup, you’ll need to set up your Apple Watch as new. You will lose any previous Activity, Workouts, or settings, but your other content will sync from the new iPhone to your Apple Watch.

Since you are seeing nothing on your Watch screen, I would now look to If your Apple Watch doesn't respond or won't turn on - Apple Support. If you find the issue is not with its charge, move on to the final step of Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support before Contacting Apple for support and service - Apple Support.

    Restart your Apple Watch

    1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
    3. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

    Force restart your Apple Watch

You should force restart your device as a last resort and only if it's not responding. To force restart your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

Once you get your Watch to respond, however, continue with the first article you were walking through.
