Watch Notifications with unlocked phone

I would like to get notifications on my watch even when my phone is unlocked. Is there any way of accomplishing this?

(Context: I use visual timers to keep track of time. I use both Time Timer and 30/30. I keep my phone unlocked so I can glance at the timers, but I'm not continuously looking at my phone. I still want to get calls on texts on my wrist, so that I will notice them. I also want to get 30/30 Watch notifications so that I consistently notice when the timer runs out.)

Is there any way to get notifications on my Watch even when my phone is unlocked?

Hi

If you turn off Wrist Detection (on your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection), all notification alerts will be delivered to both devices.

However, you will not then be able to benefit from features including Wake Screen on Wrist Raise, Apple Pay and a single unlock after placing the watch on your wrist.

About notifications on your Apple Watch

Your notifications will go to your iPhone or your Apple Watch, depending on the device that you're using.

Where you’ll see your notifications

We'll send notifications to the device that you're using, so you can see them as soon as possible.

If your iPhone is unlocked, you'll get notifications on your iPhone, instead of your Apple Watch.

If your iPhone is locked or asleep, you'll get notifications on your Apple Watch, unless your Apple Watch is locked with your passcode.
