Apple ID Issues

I have recently had to change my Apple ID and passwords due to complications in accessing my old one but now my MacBook Air wont download any updates, it is like it is still acknowledging the old email address. What can I do??

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Did you change your existing Apple ID or create a new one? Purchases and updates are tied to the Apple ID that was used to download them. To update, you will need to log in with that ID.
