Q: My iPhoto blocked after upgraded to Mac OS X
Hi,
I have Macbook Pro 13" and I did upgraded the systems to Mac OS X 10.11.5 and after that, my iPhoto has been blocked. I tried to update from applications but they said is unauthorised for my country (Indonesia). Need help to unblock it. Thanks.
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

The upgrade to El Capitan removed the iPhoto icon from the Dock, and replaced it by the Photos more Mac icon.
But iPhoto should still be there in your Applications folder.
my iPhoto has been blocked.
Do you mean the icon is crossed out? Like this?
The only iPhoto version that is running on El Capitan is iPhoto 9.6.1.
Because Apple is no longer supporting iPhoto and no longer selling it, you can only update iPhoto to 9.6.1 if you own a version of iPhoto that is associated with your AppleID at the AppStore. If iPhoto is showing in your Purchases history at the AppStore, the fourth tab, try to update by reinstalling as described by Barney.

Even if you cannot update iphoto to a compatible version you can open your iPhoto Library by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock. It would be preferably to migrate to Photos, because iPhoto is no longer well supported, you cannot order prints from iPhoto any longer.
