Q: My desktop Mac will not accept photos from my iPhone

My Mac, which used to accept my iPhone6 photos will not accept them. I've tried turning off iCloud and downloading onto the Mac-that doesn't work. I made copies which the Mac accepted but since they are not actual photos I could not make an hard copy album. Frustrating. Any suggestions.

Thanks

Could you explain, what you mean by "will not accept"?  How are you trying to transfer the photos from your iPhone to the Mac?

Are you using "My Photo Stream"?  Are you using iCloud Photo Library?  Are you connecting the iPhone by USB and are trying to import to Photos on the Mac?

What happens when you try? Does the Mac not see the iPhone, when you connect it to USB? Or do the photos not show?

Can't help unless you provide details

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? how are you trying to do this? Exactly what is happening including exact error messages?

and please explain this clearly - it makes no sense at all

. I made copies which the Mac accepted but since they are not actual photos I could not make an hard copy album.
