Q: MacBook Pro 2006 screen freezes blue. If in safe mode works fine but the screen is full of little grey and black squares. What to do? Thank you community.

MB 2006 3 gb ram. 300 gb hd and the OS X 10.5. After seversl tries to fix decided to erase and install the original osx 10.4. The problem subsists. I wonder if it is something related with firmware. What is your advice?

It sounds like a hardware problem. Try running AHT
Using Apple Hardware Test - Apple Support
Bring it into a AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) for an estimate.
