What happened when you tried to change your iCloud ID? Did you try at the link below? Error messages?

So, when you state that you "deleted" the old one, do you mean you changed the old ID to the new one on the same Apple account by using the EDIT button, or do you mean you set up a brand new Apple ID?

If you mean you used EDIT to change it, then sign the old ID out of iCloud using the current ID password

If you set up a brand new Apple ID, then you are going to have to sign out of iCloud using the password that went with that old ID
