iTunes 12 on Mac OS X.10.8.5
Does the current version of iTunes 12 play nice with Mac OS X.10.8.5? Or does it tax the system a lot?

Many people are not happy with the changes to iTunes 12...
Yes, I'd heard that Jony Ives had screwed up the UI there also; however my problem is this: iOS 9.3 has really screwed up my iBooks in that I can't add any non-Apple ePubs (any PDF and Apple sourced ePubs are fine) by syncing my iDevices to iTunes on my iMac. I was wondering if iOS 9.3 really needs iTunes 12 to properly sync with Mac OS X.10.8.5.
BTW, any idea as to why your answer was already marked as the solution when I logged in to Apple Discussions before I could even read it?
Wow, no ideas why it was marked as solved if you didn't do it, used to anyway be able to mark it inside of the eMail notification.
I'm running 10..5, but have no iDevices so I can't test. They certainly want tou to, & I suspect for full funcionality between the 2 it is needed...

I didn't know that about marking it from the notification message; perhaps I accidentally brushed that area.
I don't use iCloud except for the Find My iDevice apps, and for my Dot Mac email address. All other iCloud applications are ignored/turned off. I figure with Apple's track record, iCloud will go away within the next couple of years, just like Disk Tools, DotMac, & MobileMe did. Each was replaced with a lesser quality software, IMO.
My feelings exactly. 😟
I'd just see if the current iTines does what you wisj.
