Opening local HTML files from inside an ePub

I've created an ePub in InDesign and have added a local folder with some HTML pages to the epub file afterward. I've got links to the index.html file from inside the ePub. On the PubTree reader, they open and all of the content works. In iBooks I just get a blank white screen. Any info is helpful, thanks!
