The device should not become "Extremely Hot".  It may become warm depending on what you are doing with it, and if it is plugged in and charging.  Your best bet would be to visit an Apple Retail store genius bar (if one is nearby).  Or, if there isn't one, your device comes with 90 days of complementary phone support (assuming you bought it new), contact applecare an ask them for help.

extremely hot i mean so warm...

you still can easily hold it but you feel the tempreature..

i Cant take it back to the store they'll keep it for weeks..

if im using it for heavy games or heavy graphical content it would be usual..

but im only downloading from the app store and browsing the internet..

the only apps i use are youtube and facebook and safari browser i dont think that should make it hot right ?

Warm is not "extremely hot."  All electronic devices get warm when being used. They get warmer, the harder they're working at performing processor-intensive tasks, such as image processing, games, etc. They also get warm when charging, but make sure you only use the wall charger that came with the phone.

iPhones have numerous heat sensors built in. If they detect high temperatures, they will throttle back performance to prevent over-heating and you'll see temperature warnings displayed on the screen.
