In the attached, you can see that it was sorted by IP Address, yet the order appears as:

10.148.177.65
10.151.161.74
...
This is just one example. Even if I sort on another column and then resort on IP address, it remains incorrect.

How did you scan? Did you scan by single IP at a time? Or range? or some thing else?
When you having the issue, if you click the IP address column again, so it sorts from highest ip to lowest ip, does it continue to have the issue?
Scan by single IP address at a time. If I click on the IP address column, then again, I get the same result ... out of order. I suspect that Apple is not sorting IP address correctly and converting them. In each case I've seen the 3rd octet is much higher. In this case the 3rd octet goes from 32 to 161 for 10.151, with a 10.148.177 stuck between them.

No, have not tried scanning. Interestingly enough, I rebooted my iMAC and when ARD came back up, they were sorted! Weird.
