Hi all.
I've purchased a MacBook Air today and I'm currently trying to upload my photos from my iPhone 5 to my MacBook. I only have 1600 photos and it's been well over an hour now of "Uploading 1606 items" on my phone.
Any idea how long it may take or am I being ridiculously impatient?
(Also, iCloud on my computer doesn't show up anything under 'Photos' yet? Is this normal?)

How long is a piece of string?
An hour is pretty impatient. You will not fair well with cloud-based photo storage if you find that too long.
What is your upload speed where you are connected? Did you also select OPTIMIZE photos? That will add to the time to fully sync your library.Are any of your items videos?
It may take a full day, depending on your network. Is the iPhone connected to a stable Wi-Fi and fully charged?
Stable Wi-Fi and I'll plug it now to charge!
