Apple 4s and verification code error

Question

Have just got Iphone 6s+ and Apple set me up with verification. Now my 4s phone can't cope with this. What do I do?

Cant update any of my apps on 4s as 4s does not allow me to put in the verification. Code

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

Update your 4S to iOS 9.3.2.

Or, download the apps to your computer and then sync them to your phone using iTunes.
