Jun 23, 2016 11:02 AM in response to KeithGraby Tom Gewecke,In order to export as .epub, you must compose the book using one of the templates specifically marked for .epub provided in iBA. The other templates can only be exported to .ibooks format.

Jun 23, 2016 11:13 AM in response to Tom Geweckeby KeithGra,Thanks. However I have already produced many epub book files and I am trying to open them, update them, and re-export as .epub files. I do not have the option to select an ePub template when importing. I want to use iBooks Author as my primary authoring platform.

iBA can't do that, it has to work from its templates. You will have to use another app. Apple doesn't make any app that can open and edit epub.
