I am facing an issue on ios 9 and iphone 6s. I get whatsapp notification that I have got a message, but when I open whatsapp and the chat, I do not see the message at all. I see the older message I had with that person. This happens to groups too. Let us i got a notification for 10 messages in a group, when I go to that group, I see the older messages. It's like these msgs are gone in the air. Please advice

Somehow the chat backup is also not working. It is giving me an error when I try to backup the chat. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but my icloud backup is also not working. The last icloud backup that I have is of a few days back. When I try to do an icloud backup manually on my mac, it fails then too, saying "your disk does not have enough space", which is weird because I have a 64 GB phone and I have 500GB space on my mac. Don't know if the whatsapp issue and this icloud issue is related. Any advice?

I recommend backing up your chats and then deleting and reinstalling Whatsapp. I had this problem too way back on my iPhone 4 and that seemed to work.
