Fan noise

I have reset the smc but the fan noise is still really loud. This is happening to a 6 month old macbook air, 11 inch. It's basically brand new however I do use it everyday to and from school. Even so I have looked online and tried smc reset as that seems to be the standard advice for this, but the fan noise still goes on every time I log back on. The fan noise only started 1 day ago, but hasn't stopped since. Seeing as though smc reset didn't work, is there anything else I could do?
