WiFi interference with Bose Cinemate SR1

I've been noticing intermittent bass dropping out on my Bose Cinemate SR1 while watching TV. Quite annoying! I saw a critical post on an Amazon review that said its the 2.4 Ghz wifi that interferes with the subwoofer wirelessly connecting to the sound bar. I'm using an Airport Extreme that uses dual band wifi, 2.4 & 5 Ghz. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

thanks in advance!

They suggest moving the router farther from the speaker. Could you do that? Also, are you sure it's WiFi interference? Can you try playing a CD or DVD with the router off, to see if that works? Are there any other Bluetooth devices nearby? How about microwave ovens, or other wireless gizmos, like baby monitors, etc.? They all use the same frequencies.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I've been in touch with Bose tech support & apparently there is a cable option that they're sending to test with & possibly rule out wifi interference. The other test suggested is just turn off the Airport Extreme & use the Bose for a couple hours to see if the dropouts happen. The Airport is about 40 feet away & upstairs but may still be the problem. It may be necessary to use your suggestion to somehow switch to the 5Ghz band but creating different SSID's is beyond my expertise, at least at this point. Thanks again!
