How can I get an application window to span across 2 external thunderbolt monitors on my MacBook ? It seems to be limited to one monitor.

I want to have an application span across my 2nthunderbolt monitors. I was told this was possible in older OS versions.

Art,

Thanks for letting me know! I apologize for my late reply.

When you say span, do you mean have a window stretched across screens?

If so, you'll be able to have it stretched across displays by going to System Preferences > Mission Control > uncheck " displays have separate spaces"

After that you should be able to have any window stretched across displays without a problem. Correct me if I got your inquiry wrong though.

Best regards!

Hi Roger

I am awaiting for Apple to release a new MacBook 15. I think your software and a top mount could make the system the ultimate developer laptop. I am currently experimenting using my 2 thunderbolt monitors in portrait with my MacBook 15. I just need vertical real estate. Now that I think about it I don't think Apple application windows cross monitor boundaries so my idea may not work out. In Portrait for instance Xcode with 2 thunderbolt monitors will not span interface builder across monitors. I'd like Xcode to span vertically the MacBook and the ipad pro displays. Any ideas on the application spanning displays ?

Thanks

Art

Hey Art,

Thanks for reaching out!

The clip you mention is the Ten One Design mountie:

And yes, it works really well with Duet.

I'd like to find a clip that holds the iPad on top of my macbook. I saw in your video a clip that mates the iPad on the side. How do I find this clip ? I want to do some coding on my macbook but I prefer a portrait display and with you software I may be able to get this.

Thanks, Art
