Macbook apps taking up alot of memory

I'm using MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch) 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 OS X El Captian 10.11.5.

I notice my Apps used 121.45GB from my SSD. How do i check which app is using the most memory & how to uninstall them?

That is an erroneous reading that will be corrected only when you re-index the SSD: Spotlight- How to re-index folders or volumes - Apple Support. You should ignore it. For the reliable information select the Desktop icon of your SSD; Press Command-I to open the Get Info window; in the topmost panel you will see the disk information: Capacity, Available, and Used. This is all you really need to know.

  1. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
  2. Be sure to Empty the Trash to recover the space.
  3. Use OmniDiskSweeper or GrandPerspective to search for large files and find where they are located.
