iTunes Match Skips Songs

Does anybody have problems with iTunes and/or iTunes Match skipping songs? Regardless if I play from my Macbook Air or iPhone 6 Plus, songs skip. As I sit here, all 3 songs have skipped - wait, there's another - on a single album. I mean, who knew you could listen to a 42 minute Led Zeppelin album in 18 minutes?

Please don't tell me that I have to "re-upload all tracks" because that is not a viable solution with over 9,000 songs in my database. Besides, it isn't just one album here or there. It happens to any song on any album at any random moment.

There is either something fundamentally wrong with iTunes and/or iTunes Match, or its in the network, but the same thing happens on many different networks.

I am seriously contemplating a switch back to Microsoft. That's how bad it is. Please HELP!!!
