Q: Disable popup when selecting text

While reading e-books I use to make random text selections to help me keep track of my reading within a page. In iBooks a popup appears every time when selecting text, offering options to highlight, add note to or copy the selected text. I find this really annoying. Is there a way to turn this off and have it enabled only on right-click (when I choose to)?
