Q: ipad reset
I just did a factory reset on my ipad that I just had the screen replaced and my son had a passcode that he forgot. so i went online and it said to hook it up to itunes follow instructions. Now i go to type in our apple id and password and it says its wrong. well i know its right sent password reset to email did all that and now when i go to punch it in it says that it is the incorrect apple id and that it is linked to find my iphone link. and the name it is not the same as the one i was using previously. Is there any way to fix this? Ive had this same ipad for almost 2 yrs now my dad bought it at a pawn shop and it was not locked when he sent it to me.

It certainly sounds like the Find My iPhone (same as Find My iPad) Activation Lock caught up to you.
Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support
When the original owner sold the iPad to the pawn shop, (s)he was supposed to release the Find My iPad. If that did not happen, the only way to activate the iPad at this time would be to have the pawn shop contact the original owner and have that person release the iPad.
