Hi there. I jusy bought an iPad Mini4 and I'm a little confused about the use of I cloud.
I have about 2000 images that are now showing in my Mac Mini (Photos) and my iPad.
Where do those images actually reside? I'd like to keep them on my Mac Mini but I do not want to clog up my iPad. Is there a way to removed them from my iPad and not from my Mac Mini? Sorry for the ignoran=ce, thank you.

They reside on the Mac mini, from there they are uploaded to your iCloud Photo Library (if enabled). If you enabled iCloud Photo Libray on your iPad you will be able to view all the photos on your iPad (if enabled)
Settings > iCloud > Photos > Optimize iPhone Storage > Check (this will ensure the best experience)
