Bluetooth issues with Kenwood Excelon DNX691HD Car Stereo on ios 9.0.2

I can connect and listen to music from multiple apps using bluetooth, but I cannot use Siri and people can not hear me during a call. I can say "Hey Siri" and the phone beeps, the music stops but then it times out. Once in a while two green buttons will come up on the display of the stereo, it will show my name and number and I think what are supposed to be accept and reject buttons. One is green one is red. pushing the green does nothing unless you push it twice fast. Usually after pressing twice it freaks out and will try and facetime random people or Bluetooth will connect then disconnect repeatedly. The red button sometimes takes you back to whatever was playing and sometimes does nothing at all. I have never been able to get the bluetooth to work so I can't say if it worked on prior iOS versions. I have updated the firmware of the stereo and I don't really want to update the ios yet. Has anyone had an experience similar and is there a fix? Sprint/ iPhone 6 plus/ iOS 9.0.2 Thank you
