Q: Starkey Halo 2 switches to "Stream Boost" memory setting when iPhone received incoming calls. Is there a way to change the setting.
I just got my Starkey Halo 2 a few days ago. I notice when I receive incoming calls on my iPhone 6, the Halo 2 switches into the "Stream Boost" memory position which increases the volume and picks up a lot of background noise. Is there a way to change the default iPhone answering memory to another memory setting.
iOS 8

You can reduce background noise on the Stream Boost memory by reducing the microphone levels, or by muting them (by pushing the Mute button). I believe your audiologist can also alter the Stream Boost memory settings. Finally, you can prevent the hearing aids from automatically switching to the Stream Boost memory by going to the Settings in the app and de-selecting the Auto-Streaming option under Features. You might also use Comfort Boost to reduce background noise (you also can enable it in the Settings, "Show Comfort Boost" option, then it's the button that appears to the left of the Mute button), although I haven't figured out exactly when Comfort Boost is available and when it's not).
