Q: Mass conversion of songs on a playlist.

Is there a way to convert all the songs on a selected playlist to MP3 without having to search through all the MP3 files on the computer to locate the result?

In other words is there a way for all of them to end up in one folder?

    Hi there wlubarsky,

It looks like you want to convert music already in your iTunes Library and have them all go to one particular folder. That would definitely cut down on searching. Here's how you can use iTunes on your Windows XP Pro PC to convert those songs.

Convert a song to a different file format with iTunes.

iTunes keeps your music in the iTunes Library on your PC so they should be in that folder.

    Happy listening!

I have dozens of subfolders in my iTunes music folder, each one for a specific downloaded artist or album. The last time I tried a mass conversion of a playlist the MP3 versions ended up in the same subfolder as the original iTunes version. What I really want is that all the new MP3 versions end up in one subfolder not scattered all over the iTunes music folder.
