Q: Family Sharing Subscriptions Issue

Hi

I have set-up Family Sharing on my wife's and my iPads. At first it seemed to be working; In the App Store, I can see her apps and download them, and visa versa. Trouble is, the paid subscriptions are not transfering.  So when we open eachother's magazines or newspapers we can't read them. We always get the sign-up page requiring us to take out a new subscription. We tried "Restore All Purchases" but that doesn't work – and no error message explaining why.

I have checked the info on all these publications and can confirm that Familiy Sharing is allowed for all the periodicals we're trying.

Any ideas?

    Hello Marcus_H,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand that your unable to share subscriptions with Family Sharing. I can definitely understand your concern, especially if the publications are stating it should be allowed. I am here to help.

What you're experiencing is expected behavior. Here's some of the content that can't be shared with Family Sharing:

    • Songs added to iTunes Match that weren't purchased from the iTunes Store.
    • Individual or student Apple Music memberships and other subscriptions, such as magazines and newspapers.
    • In-App purchases.

What types of content can I share with Family Sharing

    Have an amazing day!
