Q: Will Discussions ever become more iPhone friendly?

I'm sorry if the question sounds offensive; it's not my intention. I use Discussions a lot on my iPhone but sadly find that it is a bit difficult because there is no mobile view. Will that perhaps be made sometime? I realise this is speculation but I thought I should ask. Alternatively perhaps it could be made available on apps like tapatalk.

Thank you for your thoughts

You are neither offensive not alone. Many people find this site--and its predecessor version-- difficult to use on any Apple device running iOS. You can use this link to send a message abut the problem directly to Apple:

Under the "Topic Area" pulldown, select "Discussions":

"mobile" version could likely be achieved pretty easily by Apple with a set of CSSes - all content at ASC is in a database and being displayed as presented by CSS now.

The site runs on JiveSoftware. Jive has an "add-on" that hooks into its mobile app

Apple's support of ios devices has been bad forever.

Apple doesn't seem to be in sync with the needs of the user's of ASC.  Apple current direction seems to be to turn the discussions into a knowledge base to answer questions.  I think this is an effort to reduce support costs. Folks looking online for answers instead of calling Apple.  To that end, Apple has a bunch of people trolling the discussion to mark answers with Apple recommended.  Of course, your not going to find the answers with Apple search.  Use google for search.

Apple does have some css directed towards ios devices. They could do a lot more at a low cost.
