Q: Erase A Disk And Reinstall OS X Lion
Hello,
I Have the macbook 2007 and i want to erase my computer disk. The way i know to do this is the following steps:
- Boot on recovery partition
- Open disk utility in the recovery partition
- Select my disk and go on erase tab
- Give a name for the new partition and click 'Erase'
- Quit disk utility and press ' Reinstall OS X '
- Select as the install location the partition created from the erase
- Continue with the installation
- Boot from the partition created from the erase
Questions
- Is this a good way to erase a disk?
- The recovery partition will be deleted when i erase the disk?
- If this isn't a good way to do this what is the best way to erase a disk and reinstall OS X Lion
Notes
- I don't have a install/reinstall DVD
- My OS is OS X 10.7 Lion
Thanks For You Help

Mac OS X
1. Yes, unless you'll be selling or giving away the computer.
2. No.
3. A 2007 Mac can't be sold or given away with Lion installed, unless it came from one of Apple's USB thumbdrives, in which case there won't be a recovery partition.
