Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know the importance of getting Time Machine working again.

Jun 26, 2016 10:24 AM in response to Eric Rootby Joypen,Thank you for your input. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to help me. Using terminal does not recognize the volume. Also, I forgot to mention that the disk is dimmed in disk utility. Still looking for help. :(
