Opening Publisher files on Mac

I just purchased Publisher for Mac, but am unable to open files created with Publisher for PC. Any advice? I saw an earlier post about Libre Office, but that seems to be a different software, and I would like to use the one I just purchased.

Ideas?

yes....according to what I've read, openOffice ( LibreOffice will open PC publisher files, otherwise, when you are using Pubisher for PC, one of the only other options that I know about (there may be others) is to save the file as a .pdf on the PC side and then export it. It will then open on the Mac no problem, oh, and you can save it as a word document (.docx), to do this, open the document you want to conver using MS publisher 2010 for Windows, press Ctrl-A, to select all the content, then Ctrl-C to copy to Windows Clipboard, Open a new blank MS word 2010 document, Press Ctrl-V to paste the clipboard contents into word, then click

save button on quick acess toolbar, and the resulting document can now be moved to your mac.

The author for the software that you purchased in the OS X App Store has contact information and a web site. Have you used those resources? If the product does not open MS Publisher documents, there is nothing anyone here can do to solve that specific application issue — it is a developer/application issue. LibreOffice will open MS Publisher documents, but not with the accuracy of MS Publisher itself.

There are other products in the OS X App Store that go so far as to offer MS Publisher document editing (Pub Editor Pro), but I have no experience with it.
