    Is your IPhone New?

Try to force restart your IPhone via pressing the home and sleep/wake button.

If that doesn't work try to Restore Your IPhone Via Itunes

I have been using my iphone 6 plus since they first shipped (fall of 2014) without problem. 2 days ago I noticed some blue flickering vertical lines at the top of the screen, flickering from a 1/8" to 1" but didn't really have any other effect. The next day the flickering got worse, extending to 2" and not responding to most taps/swipes. It also started opening apps at random and in some cases trying to edit stuff as if someone was randomly tapping it. For example, it loaded up contacts and was about to delete someone! I was lucky that my tap to cancel registered.

I have tried power off and back on and that doesn't reliably impact the situation. Sometimes it comes right back, other times it behaves normally for a bit then starts to flicker.

Right now I'm trying to save all of my photos on one of those lightning sticks in case a full restore is necessary.

It's running the latest iOS (don't want to check version right now bc photos are copying). I did have about 80 apps that I hadn't updated, which I was using as a potential "delete this app" list. Not sure if one of those outdated apps went all Mr. Smith on me.

If anyone has some ideas of other things to try let me know.
