Battery life while playing
Hello there this is my first post on the apple forums.
I have recently read about the battery cycles that the macbooks have, mine is a macbook pro 13 iris early 2015 and I have used 224 cycles of the 1000 and I have had it over 1 year now (in September).
I tent to charge it only when its over 28-34% of battery and up to 80-100% while using it so the life from it extends a bit more since I need this computer for my university studies and future for so I need it to be at full performance at least another 5 years if not more.
Now here is the deal... I love playing video games ** I don't have money for more computes so I play very often on the MacBook Pro League of Legends, Spiral Knights, etc. This means I need to charge it at last every 1 and 1/2 or every 2 games and I really play at least 3 to 5 games daily so that means at least 2 to 3 cycles from my battery every day and its quite a lot.
I had no problem on other windows laptops since what I used to do was removing the battery and using them like a desktop pc and only use the battery when ever I need them.
So my question is how can I stop killing my battery without having to stop playing since is my only killing time hobby that I got other than drawing.
Should I leave it charging while I keep playing all the time?
Should I keep plugging and unpuggling the energy like now?
Is there any way of "turning off" the battery and only using the plugged energy?
If I keep this way how long do you thing I will have a healthy battery and how much does it cost a new one for this model?
Any other recommendation?
Thanks for reading and leaving your comments 😉
