Q: When I delete from main photo feed it deletes photos I have put in separate files.

Hi, I have transferred my photos from PC to iPhone 5s, all ok there, now I want to put them in separate files, which I have done, but, they still appear in my photo feed, so now, I have 2 photos the same, but when I delete from main photo feed, it deletes both, is there a way to keep just the photos in file, help

When you say in "separate files" do you mean in Albums on the iPhone?

If Yes, when you do that, the images in Albums or Projects are NOT duplicates of what's in the main Library. They are just "shortcuts" to the original images. Thats why you can have the same photos appear in multiple Albums, without duplicating them and without increasing the Library size.

You should also make sure to keep full-resolution originals on your computer.

The Photos.app on the iPhone has several ways to access the photos. http://help.apple.com/iphone/9/#/iph3d267610

Th views are grouping the photos in the library in different ways, without duplicating them.

    • The "Photos" view is showing you the library partitioned into Moments, Collections, Years. This is really a parttition of the library into separate sets of photos. Each photo and video is only in one moment. If you are seeing a photo twice in the moments, it is a duplicate. The Photos view is created automatically and you cannot modify it.
    • The Album view is showing predefined smart albums and your own custom albums.  As Rysz explained, a photo can appear in many albums without needing extra storage. You use the albums tab to create your own access structure to your photos:  http://help.apple.com/iphone/9/#/iphf14943e
