Where is the hidden photo album showing.

Hi

I have just seen a post about missing photos in Photo and it says that the missing photos are still there to look under show hidden photo album but nothing seems to change in the albums when I switch it show then hide. where do I look for these hidden albums?

Which version of Photos for Mac do you have?

  • If you are running Yosemite, the Hidden Photos needs to be revealed from the File menu.
  • In Photos for Mac on El Capitan the "hidden photos" album will be visible in the sidebar automatically, if you have hidden photos in the library.


Hidden Photos are only hidden from the "Photos" view (Moments, Collections, Years), not from any album. You can hide photos to remove photos from the Moments and collections temporarily, to make them more manageable.


Reveal the sidebar with ⌥⌘S, if it is not showing and look for this album:
