I know and have been controlling the My Music portion of iTunes but the Apple Music aspect cannot be accessed using the Remote.
This is an unaddressed issue with Apple. The remote app cannot control Apple Music features like Radio, search, online streaming, etc. Apple has not supported their ideas for whole home audio for years. Airplay is fantastic and needs to be updated with Apple software and hardware improvements.
