Q: Set default open directory home location
OS X Server 5.1.5 usIng Open Directory.
How do I set a default "/Users" locatIon where Open Directory home folders are created?
Currently when they are created, they are stored In the startup disk /Users folder, and If I have Home Folder In the user preferences set to "Local Only", they are able to access theIr home folder remotely and not see every other user, but If I set that to the other Users folder on another volume that Is set to "Home dIrectorIes over smb/afp" they end up wIth the "User" share poInt lIstIng all the users as well as theIr own "short name folder".
What I want to do is change where Open Directory user folders are created (e.g. they would be created in Storage HD instead of Macintosh HD) so that they only have their "short name folder" available with out having to setup a shared folder with "Home dIrectorIes over smb/afp" enabled.
Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11), OS X Server
