If desired, you can instead click here and turn off the email notifications completely.

Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities. I know that it's important to have your devices working in a way that is best for you, so I'm happy to provide you with some direction for better managing your notifications.
If you want to disable all notifications from Mail, you can do this simply by going to Settings > Notifications > Mail, and then disable Allow Notifications.

If you're using a Mac, all you need to do is click on the logo in the top left and then on System Preferences. From there click on Notifications and then on Mail in the list on the left. This will allow you to click on None for the Mail alert style and then uncheck the boxes there that you want to.
