Q: Cannot sign in to Apple ID after upgrade to ElCapitan 10.11.5
I have Macbook Air 11" 1.4 Ghz i5 with 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (early 2014)
I cannot sign in to Apple ID (iCloud, Appstore.. ) after upgrade into ElCapitan 10.11.5
About 3 weeks ago, i upgrade my OS into ElCapitan as there was a upgrade signal from Appstore.
The download process and installation was successful, but stuck on "preparing your mac" session. It take about 2 hours, with processing cursor... Then I shut-down (push the power button on keyboard) and turn it on again.
My Mac can operate and in "About this Mac" has already informed that the OS is ElCapitan 10.11.5.
But unfortunately, since then, I cannot sign in into my Apple ID in this Mac (I am using several apple products "iphone", "ipad" and my apple ID still working)
I've come to autorized Apple service nearby, they only have one solution to re-install my Mac, and I have to pay
May be anybody have a solution...

Hi atiqurrakhman,
Based on the information given, it sounds like you're unable to sign into your Apple ID for multiple services on your Mac ever since your upgrade to OS X El Capitan 10.11.5. I know it's very important to have access to these services on your Mac, so I'd be glad to provide some help.
Before we begin, I recommend that you create a backup of your data using Time Machine. This website will provide more information:
Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support
Since the update seemed to get stuck, it may not have been installed correctly on your system. As a next step, I'd recommend that you reinstall OS X from Recovery using the steps found here:
How to reinstall OS X on your Mac - Apple Support
Reinstall OS X from Recovery
If have a recent Mac, you can use OS X Recovery to reinstall OS X.
- Turn on your Mac.
- Immediately after you hear the startup sound, hold the Command and R keys on your keyboard.
- Release the keys after the Apple logo appears.
- If prompted, select a Wi-Fi network, or connect your Mac to the Internet using an Ethernet cable.
- After the Recovery menu appears, select the option to Install OS X.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to select your destination disk and install OS X.
Once this process is complete, try signing in with your Apple ID using multiple services to see if the issue has been resolved.
Have a great rest of your day!
